Ann-Marita added to New Country Roads Volume 4
Australia\'s Ann-Marita is on the New Country Roads Volume 4 compilation CD. This series comes out on the Country Roads label on ZYX Records. Ann-Marita has two songs from her self-titled CD on the compilation: \"Class Of \'93\" and \"You Said Forever\".


/Country Music News Articles/ - April 3, 2005 - Australia's Ann-Marita is on the New Country Roads Volume 4 compilation CD. This series comes out on the Country Roads label on ZYX Records. Ann-Marita has two songs from her self-titled CD on the compilation: "Class Of '93" and "You Said Forever". Other artists include Dallas Wayne from USA/Finland, Hermann Lammers Meyer from Germany, and Sivert Bjordal from Norway. New Country Roads Volume 4 will be available in retails stores throughout Europe, and online at www.zyx.de (News, New Releases, then Country).

Ann-Marita has her own style of country. While she grew up listening to Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Kenny Rogers, her influence by other musical styles, like rock and blues, color the sound that is so unique you instantly know it's her.

Ann-Marita describes her debut cd as being about "growing up, and having to do it a little faster than expected. It's about heartbreak, survival and finding your place in the world ... When someone tells me that they were moved by one of my songs, ...I know that I've hit the mark." Ann-Marita wrote all of the songs for her self-titled debut album, released in June 2004.

Ann-Marita has already traveled around the world, going to school and performing. She was born and raised on a farm in the Norwegian mountains. She then spent many years living in a small mining community north of the Arctic Circle. At fifteen, she spent a year living in Iowa, as a foreign exchange student. This was followed by Gothenburg, Sweden, where she landed a two-year contract as the lead vocalist in an international show band performing on cruise ships in northern Europe. Ann-Marita landed in Australia in 2003.
